Curriculum Development
Curriculum Development is one of the core functions of Laborers-AGC. The
innovative development process taps into the knowledge and experience of
both Laborer Instructors across North America and independent industry
experts for each subject matter. By utilizing these exceptional
resources, Laborers-AGC ensures that the training material used by its
affiliated training funds is the best in the industry.
The curriculum is designed with the adult learner in mind and all of the
material received by LIUNA members and apprentices during training is intended to be use
as a resource on the job.
The Fund’s education and training programs are a benefit to LIUNA
members and apprentices. On-going participation in training programs increase the
skills and knowledge of LIUNA members and apprenctices, making them the most important
asset to their employer’s success and their union’s strength.
Laborers-AGC currently offers education and training materials to its
affiliates that include nearly 30 programs and over 180 modules in
subjects that are related to work in the construction; building and heavy & highway, environmental
remediation, utilities, and demolition industries.
